  Disappointing pizza. Tomato sauce tasted like canned tomato paste. On another visit, sausage tasted bad. A missed opportunity for a good restaurant in a town with little good food available. Management needs to wake up.

  We recently moved here from CA, but our long time roots are in the Chicago suburbs. Trying to find a great tasting pizza outside of Chicago or New York is nigh impossible. But when we had a pizza at Alta Villa a few weeks ago, it rivaled the best Chicago pizza. The sauce was perfect, no bitterness and not overly sweet. The sausage was what I remembered as a kid, albeit, without that wonderful rendered sausage oil running down to your elbow. And the cheese!! Now that's a real mozzarella! I told my wife that the cheese covering looked like a bed comforter. The crust, the pizza dough: right on target. Truly great pizza.
